GrassRoots Program Cover 1995- was painted specifically for the GrassRoots Festival, which takes place in Trumansburg, NY. each summer. From the First year, through the Twenty-first year, I made a painting for each Festival Program Cover. The GrassRoots Festival still goes on, but now a photo by someone else graces the Program Covers instead of a painting.
I was listening to music on YouTube by James P. Johnson, when this piano player with piano-key-teeth appeared on my watercolor paper. I think he’s amusing, but a little boy told me he is scary.
